Writer's Block: Annals of Animal Warfare

Putting the laws of time and plausiblity aside, picture a battle between the megalodon (a prehistoric shark with a six-foot jaw span) and a giant squid (reported to be the size of a school bus). Who would win?

Megalodon grow over 49 feet. Giant squids grow to 43 feet maximum. The shark would win because IT HAS TEETH and thick skin.

Angrily picking up the universe by the collar, pushing it against a brick wall and demanding copious amounts of wishes. Then I smash its face in.

Writer's Block: Sharing Haikus

The Japanese haiku poet Basho once wrote, "Old pond / a frog jumps / the sound of water." Try writing some of your own haikus about the little things in your life. A haiku generally consists of a five-syllable line, a seven-syllable line and a second five-syllable line. You can also use any combination of ten-to-fourteen syllables.

Remember this song?

Close was sweet. Tyler brought his best friend by. We all squealed like little girl pigs when we found out a) Asian Kung-Fun Generation was part of our top bands, and b) we attended the Linkin Park Valentine's Day concert in 2004.

Ladytron

Went to see Ladytron at the Wonderballroom. A band called Datarock opened up for them, and they were pretty awesome...live. Their recorded music absolutely sucks. But they were fun to watch, and they sounded good in real life.

Ladytron was amazing. They had the most awesome lightshow. I think this is the coolest concert I have ever seen (not favorite or most fun/entertaining). They looked exactly like I imagined they would; wearing all black and very indifferent. They barely spoke to the crowd, except to thank someone for the flowers they sent. The concert was mainly music. They played a lot of stuff from Velocifero, but I think the crowd enjoyed their selections from Witching Hour the most.

I drank a cranberry-vodka drink in the 21+ section. Bleh. They had a full bar upstairs, but we didn't know. The concert was sponsored by Scion. They had a spinning Scion logo projected onto the wall, as well as light up Scion martini sticks. I will admit, they were kind of cool. But you could only get one if you ordered their "Scion Black Cat" drink. Fuck yall.
